The global diamond industry is alone worth around $10bn annualy, while other gemstones (including agate, emethyst, aquamarine, beryl, emerald, epidote, garnet, jade, jasper, lapiz lazuli, olivine, onyx, opal, peridot, ruby, sapphire, topaz, tourmaline and zircon) have a multi-billion dollar market in addition. The Global Diamonds and Gems Forum will look at trends in the exploration, development, production and (critically) stockpiling of diamonds and gems, and will examine future trends in supply and prices.
