Visitor attendance is free - Register today.

Together Russia and CIS countries hold a vast portion of the world's total raw material reserves. Russia holds approximately 15–17% of the world's mineral deposits worth an estimated US$340–380 trillion including 33% of global gas resources, 11% of global coal resources and 26% of all other raw metals, while Kazakhstan holds vast uranium and base metals reserves, Uzbekistan huge gold reserves and Turkmenistan large gas reserves. For foreign companies, the main restriction so far has been politics, but attitudes are changing and with it an increase in direct investment. The Russian & CIS Mining Forum will look at trends in the exploration, development, production and and financing of projects in this new and exciting mineral region - described by may as the new frontier (along with Africa) for the mining sector.
