Authors/Contributors
Global Cement Magazine author information
Prospective authors for Global Cement Magazine should first consult the editorial
calendar to find out when the magazine is due to cover the subject that interests
them.
About two months before the editorial deadline, the prospective
author should contact the editorial director by telephone, fax or
email
to discuss potential interest and article size. Articles are normally
between 500 and 2000 words long (1-4 pages in the magazine) and
authors should allow two or three illustrations (including
photographs, tables, diagrams or graphs) per 500 words.
When the final version of the article is ready, the article should be
sent by email to the editorial director in the form of an MSWord document with
embedded images. Alternately, the text file can be sent by email or CD, and
original good quality colour photographs can be sent by express mail or courier.
Please note that the editorial deadline is the absolute final
deadline for receipt of material, and authors should aim to beat this
deadline by at least two weeks.
Once accepted for publication, the article will be sub-edited to
conform with house style and pagination, and the author will be sent
a faxed proof. It is the author's responsibility to check this proof
very carefully for any errors, and to send it back to the editorial
department in timely fashion.
Published authors will be sent a number of complimentary copies of
the magazine, by arrangement with the editorial director. All
material can be returned to the author by arrangement.
We look forward to reviewing your first class
article for Global Cement Magazine!
