Global Cement Magazine would like to invite entries for the 3rd Global Cement Magazine Photographic Competition.

Deadline: 1 January 2011

Global Cement Magazine invites entries for the 3rd Global Cement Photography Competition. The winning photos will be showcased in the February and March 2011 issues of Global Cement Magazine. The winner of the competition will also receive US$500 as a cash reward, and US$250 for the runner up. Anyone can enter.

Each individual may enter up to five photographs for the competition. Every entry must be accompanied by a separate MS Word document stating the following: Photographer’s name, company and contact details (email, postal address); Location of the subject; and any additional information that may be of interest about the subject of the photo.

Although we imagine that cement and lime plants will be popular, any subject - people, architecture, wildlife - is eligible for entry. Technical prowess and the attractiveness of the final image will used to decide upon the winner. Upright (‘portrait’) format photos are preferred, but ‘landscape’ format photos are also elegible. Digital dates on photos are not required (but they do not invalidate an entry - we can erase them very easily!)

Entry is simple and free: Please send your entry (digital only, JPG, RAW or Tiff format) by email to rob@propubs.com. The subject line must be as follows: ‘Global Cement Photo Competition’ (otherwise it risks being junked by our spam filters!). Files must be above 500kb but must be below 5Mb in compressed size. Good luck!

Rules and conditions

1. Copyright of the photos remains with the photographer

2. By entering the competition, the photographer allows the reproduction of the image by PRo Publications International Ltd in its magazines, and in other media, without charge, in perpetuity.

3. The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of US$500. The second placed image will be awarded a prize of US$250. Runners-up will have their images included in the magazine in a special portfolio article.

4. The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

We look forward to receiving your entry/entries.....Good luck!
